Overview
Kharpocho Fort (meaning "King of Forts" in Balti) is an ancient fortress constructed by Ali Sher Khan Anchan in the late 16th century. Perched dramatically on a steep cliff overlooking Skardu town, it offers command views over the confluence of the Indus and Shigar Rivers and the wide Baltistan valley.
